Anita Lopez

MPP

(She/Hers/They/Them) is a Southeastern San Diego native, whose Chicana roots have guided the path toward understanding social justice from a public health perspective. She joins our team with a diverse, 25-year background in community engagement and education, health policy analysis, and designing and implementing health programs. She has an extensive background working within her own communities– low income, diverse communities of color–as they reflect that of her own background, experiences, and challenges. Through her efforts, she seeks to bridge the divide between health policy goals and a culturally relevant and effective health care delivery system. Anita received her B.S. in Health Sciences, with a minor in Holistic Healing Practices from San Francisco State University and A Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Mills College.
